Born in East Germany my life is a fascinating combination of European history, totalitarian rule and leadership. I had dogs early on and learned the hard way that dogs, like their wolf ancestors are pack animals firstly and as such appreciate hierarchy and routine. Secondly, they are social animals and an integral part of our families but their standing needs to be made crystal clear and should ideally be at the bottom of that family hierarchy after you, your spouse, and ze kids etc. 

Often that is not ze case causing issues, anxiety and else. 

I will address such during respective dog owner training sessions.

After escaping ze Communist regime in1989 before ze Berlin Wall came finally down I had the opportunity to live, study and work in many places incl. Munich, Frankfurt, Würzburg, Bamberg, before moving to South Carolina, North Carolina and finally Arizona. During this time I earned my Masters degree from the University of South Carolina.

I am continuing to educate myself as I believe that constant learning and the ability to adjust one’s opinions with new research and information is one of the cornerstones of my professional and personal life.

I have been training dogs including my own dogs for more than 20 years privately and for family and friends. One of my prior dogs, a true gem and Catahoula Leopard dog. She was simply a magical dog and we had a deep bond based on trust. You can see several training videos in the ‘Why me’ section of this webpage and shows the joy and passion of being a proud dog owner. As a working breed she had 110% focus and a strong desire to please and subsequently learn new tasks which made training her a real joy. 

Now working breeds are in their own class with their respective characters and don’t expect your dog to perform such tricks as effortlessly as she did. However, dogs of all ages have potential to learn, change and adopt to environmental changes within about 20 min or so. Thus, indeed one can teach even an older dog new tricks. Unfortunately, she had to leave this place way too early, RIP! She is watching my every step since from that other place.

That was however the real starting point of a live long passion to work more closely with dogs, help owners to become the pack leaders and promote their dogs overall wellbeing. 

The joy dogs bring into our lives is unmatched…so why not give a little back and allow them a few moments of delight? That’s where I come in.
